The Crumpled Series began the way most ideas end, with a wadded up piece of paper, and an exasperated sigh. I had been working on a sketch/concept and, through frustration, crumpled it . As I was about to throw it in the trash, I stopped. For some reason one of the facets of the crumpled paper caught my eye. I took the paper and smoothed it out on my desk. The rest evolved from that moment to incorporate digital and analog celebrations of randomness, based on the unique patterns created by crumpling paper.
And so, sole purpose of the Crumpled Series, as ridiculous as it sounds, is to prove the artistic merit of crumpled paper. Thank you for joining me on this random journey.
